Mission Statement:  Fairview, The Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut’s mission is to provide our residents with the best nursing care and rehabilitation services, while enhancing the quality of their life in a dignified atmosphere by using the skills and compassion of our staff, and utilizing the latest advances in technology.

One hundred and fifteen years ago, in the nineteenth century, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Connecticut Grand Lodge had a vision for the future.  That 1892 vision resulted in the creation of Fairview, the Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut, as a non-profit retirement home for senior members.  At that time Connecticut had 15,000 Odd Fellows practicing the organization's three principles of Friendship, Love and Truth.

Today, early in the twenty-first century, Fairview not only remains true to its original purpose, but has grown to include Fellowship Manor, an independent living retirement community; Fairview, a skilled nursing facility with comprehensive subacute and rehabilitation services; and Friends Learning Together, a 44 student child development center.

A 16,000 square foot addition to the nursing care facility completed in early 2007 includes new and more spacious resident rooms, an expanded therapy center, new resident lounges and a bistro café. The Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut is well positioned to provide the most advanced and comprehensive eldercare for seniors.

While membership in the Odd Fellows is no longer required for admission, the principles of Friendship, Love, and Truth still guide our mission.

WTNH recently came to Fairview and produced a segment highlighting our intergenerational program between our day care center children and our nursing home residents.  They really did a great job with it.  See the link to the file below:
